Williams Games

Williams, often abbreviated as WMS Games, is one of the oldest slot providers on the market. It has partnered with major operators to develop and release slot cabinets in the past before arriving on the online gambling market. Initially, it only created pinball machines, before moving on to slot development.

In 2016, WMS’ storied success was merged into Scientific Games. SG eventually renamed itself to Light & Wonder in 2022, a rebranded studio where Williams’ spirit lives on.

Williams was an amusement company with headquarters in Nevada, the USA, launched in 1974. It was built on the foundations set by its predecessor Williams Manufacturing Company which was founded in 1943. Later, the studio was incorporated into Scientific Games, with many of its key engineers providing the brains for the studio’s online slot division.

WMS is retained as a brand of Light & Wonder, releasing slots under the popular brand. It’s known for its innovative approach while keeping things old-school for a fun, engaging, and rewarding slot experience.
