Now, here are some of our selected odds for the Premier League Gameweek 11.
Bournemouth vs Manchester United - 12:30pm 2nd November
An intriguing game in prospect, mostly due to the recent form of Manchester United. They seem to have turned things around for the moment under Ole Gunnar Solskjær after denying Liverpool a record win and then following it up with three victories. In a row. Anthony Martial is now back and Marcus Rashford has started firing too, which helps. Bournemouth strangely have a lack of firepower at the moment though, having failed to score in their last three matches.
MANCHESTER UNITED TO WIN - ODDS: 23/20
Sheffield United vs Burnley - 3:00pm 2nd November
What happens when two solid defences meet? Well, I guess we’ll find out at 3:00pm on Saturday as Burnley travel to Bramall Lane. These are two sides that have often been in different divisions, so much so that they haven’t met in a competitive fixture since back on New Year’s Day 2011. That was a convincing 4-2 win for Burnley in the Championship but things are very different now. The Blades have impressed with their easy on the eye style of play, while Burnley rely a lot more on their physicality. It would be a shock if this was a high scoring game.
TOTAL GOALS UNDER 1.5 - ODDS: 37/20
Brighton & Hove Albion vs Norwich City - 3:00pm 2nd November
To say Norwich City are in a bad run of form is a bit of an understatement, as the solitary point they have got in their last five games came in a 0-0 draw at Bournemouth. Teemu Pukki has simply stopped scoring and that is extremely worrying for Canaries fans, as they rely on him for the majority of their goals. Things are looking much better for Brighton, who claimed an impressive 3-2 win at the Amex last week against Everton. The Seagulls go into this game as big favourites.
Arsenal vs Wolverhampton Wanderers - 3:00pm 2nd November
Arsenal managed to out Arsenal themselves when throwing away a routine lead in the Carabao Cup this week. There were some good performers in a mostly young side, with the talking point being Mesut Ozil’s starring return to the side. Don’t expect him to play here though, as he doesn’t seem to be in Unai Emery’s plans. Wolves also exited the Cup, but they won’t be too disheartened by that. The visitors do not have a good record against Arsenal though, winning only 1 and losing 9 of the last 12 games.
DOUBLE CHANCE: DRAW OR WOLVES - ODDS: 11/10
West Ham United vs Newcastle United - 3:00pm 26th October
After what was an excellent start, West Ham have completely fallen off the pace and dropped to 10th place in the Premier League. They will have targeted the home game against Sheffield United as being a sure three points before the start of the season, so the 1-1 draw has to be disappointing. Newcastle are even worse off, sitting just one place above the relegation zone. They’ll be without influential geordie midfielder Sean Longstaff for this one too, after his red card against Wolves. Interestingly, the average number of goals in meetings between these sides is 2.8.
TOTAL GOALS: OVER 2.5 - ODDS: 41/50
Manchester City vs Southampton - 3:00pm 2nd November
It goes without saying that Man City go into this game as overwhelming favourites. It is hard to see any possible scenario where Southampton come away with anything other than a complete drubbing here. They managed to only concede three goals in this very same fixture in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday and they would do well to keep it to that many on Saturday. After conceding nine last week, this is a tough ask for the Saints. They also lost this fixture 6-1 last season, almost a year to the day.
TOTAL GOALS: OVER 4.5 - ODDS: 7/5
Aston Villa vs Liverpool - 3:00pm 2nd November
Liverpool are looking incredibly strong at the moment and are still yet to lose in League action. This fantastic run of form has resulted in a six point lead at the top of the Premier League table. Mo Salah’s penalty got them over the line against Spurs and even though he went off injured he should be fit to play here. Hosts Aston Villa have won three of their last five in all competitions, but Jurgen Klopp’s side are just incredibly strong.
LIVERPOOL TO WIN & BTTS - ODDS: 13/8
Watford vs Chelsea - 5:30pm 2nd November
Everything was going so well for Frank Lampard and his Chelsea side until they ran up against Man United in the Cup. The Blues crashed out after Marcus Rashford’s world-class free kick, but in terms of their Premier League form everyone associated with the club must be delighted. The young players are doing a spectacular job, evidenced by Christian Pulisic scoring a hat-trick last week. Watford are rooted to the bottom of the table and will surely not be looking forward to this one.
CHELSEA TO WIN TO NIL - ODDS: 43/20
Crystal Palace vs Leicester City - 2:00pm 3rd November
Brendan Rodgers made a difficult decision when leaving perennial trophy winners Celtic for Leicester City earlier this year, but he has to believe he made the right decision. Jamie Vardy is scoring, and players such as James Maddison, Ayoze Perez, Youri Tielemans, Harvey Barnes and Çağlar Söyüncü are all playing brilliantly. Palace fought back for a 2-2 draw at Arsenal, and recent form would suggest a Palace victory as they have won the last three games by an aggregate score of 10-2. However, things have changed and The Foxes begin as favourites.
LEICESTER CITY TO WIN - ODDS: 57/50
Everton vs Tottenham Hotspur - 4:30pm 3rd November
Spurs have a very good record against Everton, winning four and drawing one of the last five Premier League contests. Recent form however has not been so good, with yet another defeat coming at Anfield last time out. Harry Kane did manage to put Spurs ahead within a minute though, and he has an excellent record against Everton, scoring a double in the 6-2 win at Goodison Park last season.
